FAQ

FAQ

  • Can I still apply even if I am uncertain about my summer plans?
  • Everyone is encouraged to apply as a participant or facilitator in our camp as long as they meet the criteria. We require, however, that you notify us at least a month before the camp if you cannot make it.
  • Can I apply even if I am not from Sousse?
  • Of course! All high-school students are welcome to apply. We will provide several different options of accommodation if you do not have a place to stay in during the duration of the camp. These options will include:
    • Staying in the “Maison des Jeunes” of Hammam Sousse
    • Home stay with our trusted facilitators
    • Home stay with participants living in Sousse
  • What if I cannot afford paying for a full week in a summer camp?
  • Our team is seriously committed to making this experience as affordable as possible for students from every background. Participants do not have to pay the full cost of their attendance, but rather a part of it. The individual contribution will be decided a few months before the camp. If you are still unable to cover your share of the individual contribution, email us and we will find a way for you to still attend the camp.
  • I was part of a previous version of Empower Education’s Summer Camp. Can I still apply to be part of this year’s version of the camp?
  • We welcome applications from all our alumni, both participants and facilitators. To be clear, alumni and new applicants are considered on the same grounds.
  • I am interested in working with Empower Education, but not as a facilitator. How can I do that?
  • Our team would be glad to have you on board! Send us an email with your CV and a cover letter explaining how you would contribute to the organization. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
